Dash Photography offers a comfortable and relaxed approach to photography, ensuring I put the client's needs first and helping to ensure you enjoy your wedding day. Whether you would like posed, traditional or natural wedding photography, I am comfortable shooting most wedding photography styles to ensure you get the best day of your life.
I am an experienced and award-winning wedding photographer, fully insured with backup equipment. Our wedding packages have been priced to suit most budgets.
Based in County Durham, Dash Photography captures weddings throughout the north of the UK, having photographed weddings in the Northwest and Cumbria, up to the borders and Scotland and from Northumberland down to North Yorkshire.
I've run a successful photography studio for many years before taking time off to start a family and pursue other interests. I am now pleased to be back shooting weddings with the assistance of my youngest daughter, who is already a talented photographer. I love shooting weddings and working with couples to create stunning images. I am comfortable with most wedding photography styles and specialise in making clients feel at ease in front of the camera.

We offer either half day or full day - to keep things simple. Album packages available and also wedding upgrades, check my website for details
How far in advance should I contact you?
We will consider both short notice (subject to availability) and advance bookings. I recommend booking as early as possible to secure your date as we do fill our calendar quite quickly
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
No
Are you able to travel?
Yes, we cover County Durham & Darlington, Tyne, Wear & Tees, North Yorkshire and Northumberland.
I’m excited to announce that due to demand we are also able to cover weddings across Cumbria
What is the charge for traveling?
Negotiable. Varies dependant on location. Travel within 60 mile radius is covered in the package

We are very experienced in photographing people and can easily make you feel comfortable in front of the camera. We love to be creative if given the chance, also use a drone for unique perspectives

Canon 5D mkIV & Canon R5 Mirrorless - Selection of L series lenses - all equipment considered professional. We also have a DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone with Hasselblad Camera - great for aerial shots

How do you work?
We look for images that have 'moments' in them - whether emotion or story telling. We want to record the day almost as an emotional diary, we love being creative too. We want you to enjoy your wedding
From day 0 to the very end, and even way past the time Dash was supposed to be for, we supported throughout. A quick message away and all our questions were answered. Moreover, they both were willing to talk to us in person for clearer communication. It made the experience more personal.
To ease our nerves a pre-wedding photoshoot was included, where we got to break the ice in front of the camera whilst wearing our casuals. Trust me, with their friendliness and guidance, you forgot the camera was even there.
Both candid shots and beautiful staged photographs were taken, exactly how I would have imagined... The lighting and atmosphere was perfect! They were not just the photos I wanted but ones I couldn't even imagine, breathtaking!
The price is very valid for what you get, that including not one but two photographers each with their own style.
The style of photos were entirely up to what we wanted. The photography staged sessions were when we wanted. Their flexibility was commendable.
All you have to do is see DASH's portfolio, or the photos I attached. The variety, passion for their job, and talent is visible.

So friendly and captured the heart of the day
Dash and his daughter Katie are both so lovely! They were both very attentive and friendly towards both the bridal and groom party. Dash would inform me what ideas and photos he wanted to get, all amazing, and he would talk everyone through each set up (even getting us girls to jump over a sofa haha)
Both Dash and Katie had great communication and made both myself and my now husband, feel very at ease.
We would highly recommend Dash as a wedding photographer, such a great guy and we are very much looking forward to seeing the final photos!!

Super friendly, professional, and affordable!
Had my wedding exactly a week ago today, and lovely Dash was our photographer. We had a few unusual requests, as our wedding had a few extra complications, and covered them on our initial call. He was super accommodating and understood very well about the changing timings on an actual wedding day and how to work around them and suggest beautiful alternatives. He has already sent us our private gallery with all our photos! They are lovely and there are lots of them, I can't believe that he managed to work so fast on them too. Highly recommend :)

Loved the service provided!
We ordered the very minimal package as we wanted to spend time with our family. Dash and his apprentice made us feel very comfortable and we had fun along the way. The photos were just beautiful and turned out better than expected.
Communication was perfect leading up to the wedding and during the photographs. Can't thank you both enough and so happy we chose you to capture our special day ❤️

Couldn't have asked for more
Beendan was the perfect professional from start to finish.
We hired him for our small and unique, 1920s themed wedding and he got the style and the theme absolutely spot on. We couldn't have asked for more, especially at such a reasonable price.

Absolutely incredible
I can't recommend dash photography enough. Both dash (brendan) and his daughter were there to photograph our wedding day an it was genuinely incredible. I am not one to want a photograph taken, its very confronting for me, but I have never in my life had 2 such amazing people make me feel more comfortable and at ease. From start to finish I was guided in every way possible. I have slight mobility issues and was always asked if anything was too much or if I needed a break. Dash is a genuine and kind man and his daughter was just fantastic. Both kind, caring and concientious all the way through.
We've also received our photos within 1 week! The photos are just amazing. Book them now. You will not be disappointed! Thankyou so so much to you both!!
