Function Republic are an event band based in London, England. Covering London, Surrey, East Sussex and the surrounding areas. This dynamic, talented group pride themselves on their versatility and their vast repertoire. They cover songs from a wide variety of genres, including popular hits by Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Earth, Wind & Fire, Bon Jovi, Beyonce, Florence & The Machine, Gala and many more. Whatever your needs, they are determined to give you and your guests an experience that you will love and remember always.

Services Offered

Function Republic can help you create the perfect soundtrack for your celebration. Their range of wedding packages, features and options includes a selection of band lineups including saxophone, acoustic daytime options, multiple DJ packages, a full PA sound system, and professional stage lighting equipment. They will also learn and perform a special first dance song of your choosing.

Our Musical Director will liaise the set-list with you prior to the event and discuss such things as the first dance and other special requests to tailor your perfect day

Book them, you won't be disappointed

We booked Function Republic for our wedding recently and we're so happy we did! The band were absolutely amazing and had such a range of songs suitable for guests of all ages. They were very professional to deal with and communication was great. Our guests never left the dancefloor and were raving about the band all evening and following few days. If you are thinking about booking them... Do it, you won't regret it.

An amazing band that made our wedding day so special ❤️

Function republic were fantastic, the band and of course the singing was out of this world. We cannot recommend them enough. We had so many compliments from wedding guests. They were so professional and kept everyone dancing all night long. Thank you

Everyone complimented the music!

Absolutely fantastic, strongly recommend! Arrived an hour earlier than their usual start time to suit our day, played a good range of songs, really high energy for the whole 2-hour set, and everything sounded fantastic. Only minor criticisms are that songs I requested to be removed were sung, and I think this is because arranging final details was left a bit too late - I appreciate summer is a busy season, so sending emails sooner rather than later may avoid simple mistakes. However it didn’t detract from the overall experience, so definitely minor! Thanks again!

Fantastic talented band with amazing singer!

We were over the moon with the band for our wedding. We had a 2’person acoustic duo for our ceremony and canapés and then a four piece band for the evening. Superb musicians and singers! They were so flexible learning songs for our ceremony and first dance as well as avoiding certain songs we didn’t want to hear! People danced non stop and everyone loved it. Thank you !

Highly recommended!

We are so pleased we chose Function Republic to play at our wedding. They smashed every song, they've got fabulous taste in music and we had so many compliments from our guests. The dance floor was full the whole night. We've been to lots of weddings and I've got to say, the best band by far! Highly recommended!

The BEST Wedding Band!

Function Republic played for our Wedding in Worcestershire June 23 we knew from the moment we watched their youtube videos we wanted them to play our Wedding and they completely blew us away. Josh was a dream to book so responsive and kindly accommodated an important song request for us which went down a dream on the night. So many of our guests commented on how amazing you were and we couldn't agree more, Brad and I caught ourselves staring in amazement at times! The BEST band you could wish for!

If you are looking for a band that would make EVERYONE dance and have fun then look no further, Function Republic is your band! We are still talking about them, they were incredible and managed to have literally every guest dancing at our wedding (including the elderly! :D).

Josh was very easy to talk to and they even learnt our song! We would choose them over and over again. Thank you so much for making our day even more special!

Amazing- highly recommend!

From start to finish, I couldn’t have been happier. They were so easy to communicate with, make payment etc. On the day, they were soo friendly, and absolutely everyone loved them, so many guests told us they were the best wedding band they’d ever seen. They truly made the night of our wedding amazing!

BOOK THEM! They will make your wedding the BEST DAY EVER!

Function Republic performed at our wedding on Saturday 25th June... WOW!! They were just fantastic! Not only are they the most incredible musician and Claire's voice is out of this world but they are also the nicest people and so amazing to work with.
They performed a fab mix of songs but also got everyone dancing ALL NIGHT!
Honestly, if you are looking for a wedding band you will not be disappointed, they will make your day you will NEVER forgot! BOOK THEM!!

The absolute BEST band!


We booked Function Republic to play at our wedding. They offered perfect packages so you can book for your ceremony, drinks reception and or evening entertainment.
The band was absolutely incredible. Claire’s voice is outstanding. All of our guest have complimented us on the band. Claire and Josh are a married couple and you can feel the whole band is vibing off each other.
They absolutely nailed our first dance song, got everyone up dancing. Claire was even passing the mic to guests, which they loved.
I cannot recommend enough! Booking was easily, and communication though out was brilliant!

Brilliant band

We could not recommend Function Republic highly enough! They were easy to communicate with before the event and put on a brilliant performance which all our guests have all told us they really enjoyed. They have a really good, varied repertoire and really got the crowd going, but not in a cheesy way!

Brilliant!

Got everyone dancing!

Function Republic played at our wedding and truly made it a night to remember! Everyone was on the dancefloor all night and we got so many comments from our friends and family about the band! They were really easy to communicate with ahead of the day and adapted their setlist based on our feedback. Claire has a beautiful voice and we can't thank you enough for making it the best night of our lives!

100% book this band! We had so many compliments from guests asking where we found them. They sound amazing, get everyone dancing and we had the most perfect atmosphere in the evening. They are really responsive and organised in the planning and run up to the wedding so that part was also a breeze.
