We recently got married here at Merrydale Manor and it was THE most incredible day of our lives! From the moment I arrived the night before the wedding I felt all the stress just leave my body as the team took everything out of my hands. Everything ran so smoothly and I cannot thank the team at Merrydale enough for everything they did! Everything about it just felt magical! Thank you to every one at Merrydale for making our day so magical we definitely will never forget it! X

From the moment we were driving in we knew it would be the perfect wedding venue for us, You cant help but notice the beautifully kept grounds and gardens - the attention to detail is carried throughout the whole venue with its clean and modern feel.

The bridal prep room is a huge part of the morning for a bride and her bridesmaids and for me was one of the details I was looking for when searching for the perfect wedding venue. Not only does Merrydale have the most amazing room for the bride on the morning, it also had a Grooms room! A really nice touch and again really set it aside from all other venues we had viewed!

Michael - (the owner himself) showed us around and this really made us feel confident that it was a well loved family run venue.
We loved it so much we chose a date and booked it there and then with no hesitation!

Nikita was my point of contact ahead of the day and made it very easy for me throughout the planning process. Always so attentive to any questions I had getting back to me very quickly!

All the staff were brilliant on the wedding day, Sam and Margaret were also on hand alongside Nikita to ensure everything was perfect for us on the day (and it really was) I cant thank all the ladies enough, they truly went above and beyond for us!

From our very first visit to Merrydale Manor, we fell in love with the venue. A guided tour by the owner, Michael Irlam, provided us with a glimpse into the passion and care that has gone into creating this beautiful, intimate setting. The attention to detail and the intimate ambiance of the manor and its grounds were precisely what we were seeking for our wedding day.

Throughout the planning process, Nikita was incredibly attentive and responsive. Every email and phone call was promptly answered, and our visits to the venue were always met with warmth and enthusiasm. From the beginning of planning our wedding to the day it finally came , nothing was too much trouble. Attention to detail , lots of meetings leading up to the day to ensure the plan was exactly how we wanted it. Always pristine fantastic team of people and great accommodation for guests. My husband and I had our wedding at Merrydale Manor on the 4th of May this year.

From our viewing appointment to our wedding day, the service/communication was faultless.

The bridal party was lucky enough to stay in the Pods the night before our wedding. We were taken to and from The Dog over Peaover, which was much appreciated.

Food on the day was amazing. All of our guests commented on how good it was. So thank you, Barretts!

We hired the Manor house the night of the wedding, rooms were clean, and all enjoyed our stay. It's a shame we couldn't stay longer.

Breakfast the following day was delicious!

Our day ran perfectly. Nothing was too much, and all of our needs accommodated.

I would highly recommend Merrydale Manor to anyone for your wedding day. You will not be disappointed.

From the moment we looked around Merrydale Manor for the first time to the moment we left the day after our wedding, everything was absolutely perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and everything ran so seamlessly for the entire day. The team at Merrydale took care of every little details, even down to arranging my jewellery and having the dresses hung perfectly. Our day was more than we could have ever dreamed of and the only bad thing we have to say is that we won’t get to do it again!😂

We had our English wedding/one year anniversary here, and we can not recommend it enough to anyone thinking of having their day here. The ceremony room and Merrydale are just stunning, the venue is so well thought out, and just looks beautiful. Our guests are still commenting on how perfect the venue was!
The food and drinks provided by Barrett’s was outstanding, so many lovely comment from guests regarding the food and so generous with their canapés! Each staff member was so helpful and friendly.
Jess was fantastic on the day, ensuring everything was exactly how we had thought, and we didn’t have anything to worry about. We were able to completely enjoy the day, knowing that she and the whole team had everything under control. When my brother & sister-in-law could not get the heating to work in their room, the night manager ensured it was working, even offering to move them if needed. A small but very kind gesture at the end of the night.
We can’t thank Jess, Shelley, Hattie and the rest of the team enough, for making our day so special as well as being so helpful on the run up- ensuring everything was organised. I would highly recommend Merrydale manor!

I just wanted to say thank you to the whole team for making our wedding day the best it could possibly be! I could go on with praise, but you already know you've got a great team there. We could not have been happier with the entire experience with Merrydale, we've loved coming to every open day and will really miss being part of the furniture!

I can't believe it's taken me so long to write this but finally sitting down to try and express my gratitude to this amazing wedding venue. I think I'm only just starting to come back to reality. Paul and I fell in love with Merrydale the day we visited almost a year ago. It was cold and dark outside but that couldn't diminish the shine from Merrydale. We left after being shown around by Michael and made our decision before we made it back out through the gate. It turned out to be the perfect decision. Our ideas wove together over the coming months and the morning of our wedding I arrived at Merrydale and it was like someone had lifted our vision and laid it out before us. The day itself flew by like a dream and I know that was down to the team at Merrydale making sure everything went to plan. I have to especially mention Jess who went over and above throughout the whole day. I also have to mention Ken, he was spectacular, always in the right place at the right time, making sure we were taken care of and our guests so many of whom have expressed their gratitude since. I could go in to so many details but I think I might loose readers before the end so I will finish by saying a HUGE thank you and to say to anyone reading this, go and see this beautiful venue, meet the lovely family and team that are there, you won't regret it.

Everyone at Merrydale Manor made our wedding day the most fantastic day I could have ever wished for! The service was exceptional! Kirsty was the most calming and loveliest wedding coordinator that I could have ever wished for. The toast master was fantastic too. My daughter got married here last month. What an amazing venue totally stunning but more importantly you couldn't ask for more attentive staff . A big shout out to the wedding coordinator Kirsty absolutely brilliant she deserves a pay rise for what she did for us that day ,without her organisational skills on the day it could have been a very different story. We had our wedding on Sunday 11th August! It was the most perfect day ever! The venue, the grounds everything is just beautiful! The staff Michael, Hattie & the team are the best!
