We had our day here in August after we originally booked back in 2018 but had to postpone by 2.5 years after being one of the early couples effected by the pandemic. We had a new coordinator, Martina, by the time our date approached as our previous one had moved on, and she was absolutely brilliant! She was so organised and accomodating, we had some ideas that we had been told previously in 2020 might be difficult but she couldn't have been more accomodating and helpful! She made everything really clear and concise which made it so easy knowing what was happening and when, which was invaluable for the other suppliers too.

The day itself went really smoothly, we had to make.some last minute adjustments and although I'm sure it was a real pain for her as it was more work she was so helpful, made sure it was all sorted and was really kind about it all.

The food was absolutely gorgeous, the timings went well and it was the meal of dreams so HUGE thank you to the incredible catering team, we had so many compliments on the food in the day and the evening!

The rooms were also really beautiful and comfortable, with a lovely breakfast for everyone too.

The staff on the day/night were just so lovely, everyone was so helpful, they made sure even when we had photos we had some of our canapes and drink too, we felt so looked after. They were an amazing help with setting up and packing things away too, we were a little worried it would be stressful but they really took all the anxiety out of it all, nothing was any trouble at all. Even down to the maintenance and housekeeping staff, everyone was chatty and so lovely and kind.

The venue and grounds are absolutely stunning, the Oak Barn is absolutely breath taking for a ceremony and the space in the Dairy and Milling barns give so much choice for entertainment and what you can do for the day, I would highly recommend Milling Barn as a venue.

We loved our June wedding at Milling barn. The staff were very attentive, the food divine and the whole day was so smooth with no drama. It’s a beautiful venue. All our suppliers and guests commented on how lovely it was.

The milling barn team were all incredibly friendly and supportive throughout the planning process and on the day. It's a beautiful venue with fantastic staff. Nothing was too much of an ask. Great venue - would highly recommend.

We had the most incredible wedding at Milling Barn in April. The co-ordination of the day was seamless, our wedding planner, Bekki, was attentive and thoughtful and ensured everything went smoothly. The venue itself is just stunning, the ceremony barn felt magical, and doesn’t need lots of decoration - they have all the fairy lights and decor already. The food was delicious and of excellent quality, served beautifully. The service by the team at Milling Barn was exemplary, they were all super polite and helpful. Thank you so much to you all for making our day the most special of our lives xxx

We had Lauren help us throughout our experience and she was great overall. Approachable, helpful and professional. The staff were good with responding to all the questions we had, although sometimes we had to chase things up. The venue itself is absolutely stunning and good value for money in relation to the venue, as it includes the honeymoon suite and exclusive hire, but we were disappointed with the food. We had three guests not turn up on the day, and our last few guests in the food queue barely had a plateful, despite the fact there should’ve been 3 plates extra ready to be served! It also isn’t great in relation to the food options, but you can’t bring outside caterers. However, the decorations and management / setup on the day was good! It was also helpful that we could drop our decorations etc. at the venue the night before. The venue accommodated us in relation to spaces we wanted for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to get ready, they also let us into our accommodation earlier than planned, which was ideal. Breakfast the following morning was ok, but again, not enough hot food options for everyone to have a plateful. If you are looking for a decently-priced venue, for a rustic style wedding and lots of outdoor and indoor space - this is the perfect venue!

Such a Stunning Venue! We got married at the Milling Barn July 2022, it has so much to offer & reasonably priced. For us the venue caught our eye due to the space, surrounding views & rustic decor! It’s beautiful oak barn, ceremony room just sets the scene before moving over to Milling barn itself & the fact it had onsite bridal changing room & accommodation was a massive win!

Our wedding Planner/manager Lorca was absolutely outstanding - we had a quirky themed Mad Hatters wedding & I had created/designed the whole day/decor (no suppliers, so you could imagine my worry for setting up the venue) but her help in making that all come together and happen was beyond what we were expecting & more. I was expecting to spend time myself assisting however Lorca took charge & I sat back drinking bubbles & getting ready with the girls.
The patients, talent and enthusiasm was just incredible! We can’t thank Lorca enough for everything she has done.. the place looked amazing!!

Sadly, we did have a hiccup at the start of our journey with management due to a cross over during maternity leave (slight miss communications & a very different insight on the rules/guidelines for what’s included on the day!) This did cause some distress & back and fourth conversation… causing concern that we’d booked the wrong venue! All was resolved however and we are soooo glad now that we stayed & waited for originally management to come back because as above the planner herself designated shone above this & the day was magical!

All the staff on the day were super friendly & made sure Myself & Husband were catered for during the day (It’s the little things, bringing us glasses or bubbles & canapés so we didn’t miss out during photographs!)

Our only niggle from the day itself would be that we originally requested for each table to have their wine replenished after an empty bottle (we’d place one white & one Red on each due to the amount of none drinkers) so it was shared equally.. somewhere along the line this had been forgotten so we were left with 8 bottles the next morning to take home! (Not all bad for us but a shame for the guests!)

All that said … The day ran smoothly & perfectly and we just sat back and enjoyed every minute not having to worry about a thing! Very well organised! Wouldn’t have changed a thing.

Milling Barn is by far the most perfect wedding venue! Each room is carefully thought out, from the twinkly lights wrapped around the ceiling supports, to the floral decorated carriage wheels hanging from the ceiling in the Oak Barn. Every photograph we have seen has highlighted how beautiful and picturesque the venue is. All the staff are so kind, caring and helpful! Lorca, who was our wedding coordinator, couldn't of been more helpful! She took care of every little question or issue we had. The food tasted wonderful and we had so many compliments from our guests. Everyone raved about how beautiful Milling Barn is and we would happily recommend it to anyone who is looking to get married.

Brilliant service from Gemma, Samantha and the whole staff. Much more flexible than others and the venue is so beautiful, very convenient and catering is delicious. I would highly recommend as they made our day so beautiful.

Milling Barn was the perfect venue for our wedding! Everyone was so helpful and friendly from the start, and went above and beyond to make sure everything went perfectly on the wedding day itself. We had a Harry Potter themed wedding and were able to decorate the venue how we wanted, even putting up floating candles on the ceiling!

The day went very very smoothly, even when the smoke alarm went off from a dry ice machine we had brought in! My cousin even went into labor on the day and everything was handled so well, so discreetly and professionally that we didn't even know anything about it until much later!

All of the staff were absolutely fantastic, making sure we had everything we needed and checking in on us and ensuring we were both calm and happy. I felt so happy and relaxed throughout the entire day, knowing I had nothing to worry about!

The food was so fantastic as well - it completely exceeded all of our expectations. Both the venue and surroundings are absolutely stunning and the bedrooms are very clean and comfortable too. We even had a lovely breakfast the morning after which was much needed.

We are always quick to complain when things go wrong but often find it hard to send praise when things go right! - we havent had the smoothest of journeys, but I just wanted to say how pleased me and my now husband were with the level of service on the day and even the run up to it all was generally fantastic, very organised and nothing was too much to ask.

We have a very young baby and everyone went out of their way to make sure she was looked after too!

Your staff are absolutely fantastic, we must give a special mention to julie & the lady who did our final planning meeting, julie was there the day we set up and the day we left, she honestly is the kindest sweetest most helpful lady we have ever had the honour of meeting & during our planning meeting no one understood us better than the lady who did this with us!

Your day and evening staff are also incredible even when they are chasing us to ensure we dont run over haha!

We had the most beautiful day.
From start to finish all the staff were amazing. In particular our coordinator Lauren, who was at hand to help with absolutely everything to enable our day to run perfectly. Which ofcourse did! So thank you Lauren & thank you Milling Barn.
Our day was was everything we dreamt of and more. Wish we could do it all again.

There are not enough words to describe how grateful we are for everything the Milling Barn team did for us!

We'd especially like to thank Mimi our co-ordinator (who we are so grateful was assigned to us, after originally having someone else who left around 6 months before our big day). We sent endless amounts of emails and questions to Mimi but she never once seemed phased by this and you could tell that this is something the team do day in day out so, we always felt in safe hands in the build up and on the day.

Everything truly seemed to go without a hitch and we were so grateful that Mimi only ever seemed to be a few steps away to help us have some food and drink and anything else while we tried to navigate all of our guests! Both our parents, as well as us, noticed how professionally organised the food service was!! It was so nice to see the waiters and waitresses with white gloves but Mimi following with the checklist, making sure everyone had the right plates, was even more impressive! The food was delicious and the plating was beautiful, all our guests raved about this.

Every part of the venue is magical, from the oak barn, to the dairy barn, the dressing room, the breakfast room and the accommodation. You really don't need much additional decorations but the bits we did add, Mimi and the team were on hand to help the groom and groomsmen set up. Having some accommodation on site (which was lovely too!) was a real plus as the next morning at breakfast it was lovely to share highlights of the day with our loved ones.

It truly was the most special day and wouldn't have been as special without all of Mimi and the Milling Barn's team help, so we can't thank them enough! ❤️

We got married at Milling Barn in December 2022 and could not be any happier with our choice of venue. From the very beginning at enquiry stage, Gemma was really helpful with answering our (many!) questions promptly and concisely, so when we went to visit we already knew it was the perfect venue on paper. Seeing it in real life confirmed that it was the one for us; we absolutely loved all the spaces and the set up / layout is ideal to keep everyone conveniently together and everything to run smoothly.
The menu tasting confirmed that the food is also incredible - something that was very important to us as big foodies! There are a wide choice of menus available to choose from and the team also allowed us to be a bit flexible and include exactly what we wanted, which was really hard to come by when venue hunting. Our wedding manager left suddenly a week before our big day, which could have been a very stressful situation, but Martina seamlesslessly picked everything up and ran the day perfectly from beginning to end (our hero)!
We were lucky enough to have snow on our wedding day, which made for the most amazing photos and really added to the magic of the day, but when this meant some of our guests were stranded for a few hours at the end of the night, Becca really went the extra mile to ensure everyone was warm, safe and comfortable - an usual situation that probably hasn't happened before, but still handled with efficiency and professionalism.
The bedrooms are lovely and breakfast the next morning was delicious and a really nice touch. On a number of occasions we felt as though the Milling Barn team went way above and beyond for us, and we are so grateful. Although they do weddings day in day out, they made ours feel like the super special, once in a lifetime occasion that it was for us. We had so many compliments from our guests on the venue, food and staff / service so thank you to all of the team for an incredible day :)

What can we say – Milling Barn was an absolute dream, everything we could have asked for. The venue was nothing short of a fairytale – both beautiful and rustic, but also practical, having everything you need on one site. We had so many rave reviews about the food, the service (particularly the bar in the evening, which wasn’t easy to manage with over 150 people!) The day went without a hitch and that was all down to our wonderful wedding co-ordinator Martina, who made sure we had everything we needed ahead of the day and then went out of her way to make sure we just focussed on having a great time on the day! All of the Milling Barn team were always responsive, never making us feel a burden, guiding us through endless decisions and, Martina in particular was a cool, calm and collected presence, for which we were very grateful! Would not hesitate to recommend.

Myself and my husband have absolutely nothing but praise about our wedding day at milling barn. From our first visit to the actual wedding day, every thing was handled perfectly. We had quite a few guests with dietary requirements and this was no problem for the catering staff. The food was fantastic!
Martina our wedding planner is an absolute credit to milling barn. There was nothing she didn’t know the answer to! She was so knowledgeable and prompt with any questions we had leading up to the day. On the actual wedding day she made the day go perfectly. The bar staff and waiting staff were all lovely. We have not one single negative thing to say about our wedding day at milling barn. It was so seamless. Thanks again to Martina and the catering staff. You made our day perfect xx
