Facilities and Capacity

The Oxwich Bay Hotel is licensed for civil ceremonies & outdoor weddings, which can take place in the Chestnut Room, Marquee or Wedding Garden. The chestnut room offers a romantic space featuring exposed stone, a log-burning fire and large beams. If you prefer an outdoor ceremony, the Wedding Garden is the perfect spot. It has lush tropical plants and is secluded from view. Among these exotic gardens sits the Luxury Marquee Venue, where you and your loved ones can enjoy a night of dining and dancing. This elegant, enclosed marquee accommodates up to 150 people for the wedding breakfast and 250 for the evening reception. It also offers unspoilt views of the verdant coastline, white sandy beaches and sparkling water beyond.

The dedicated Events team at The Oxwich Bay Hotel will work hard to bring your vision to life. For the evening party, they provide carpeted hardwood flooring, central heating, chandelier lighting and a full bar. Our gorgeous wedding on the beach 💗

We got married at this beautiful venue on the 09/03/23. Communication in the build up to the day was plentiful and any questions we had (there we many!) were dealt with quickly 😊

As for the day itself - we were blown away by both the venue and the amazing staff, who were on hand throughout the day & ensured the day went smoothly. Special mention to Charlotte who went above and beyond on the day and put a very nervous bride at ease!

We would recommend this beautiful venue to any couples looking for their perfect beach wedding. Even though it rained all day we had the most stunning photos as the setting & views are simply gorgeous.

We can't thank the wedding team at Oxwich Bay enough for helping us create the most wonderful memories on our special day. We will treasure them forever 💖

Perfect in every way

We had the most special day, exactly how we envisioned. The staff were all amazing throughout the day and organising our wedding. We believe the venue and staff don’t get enough credit for how amazing they are. The quality and value for money is fantastic and we really can’t thank you all enough for our perfect day.

Perfect Wedding reception in Oxwich Bay Hotel

We chose to have our wedding reception at Oxwich bay hotel and it was amazing. From our first encounter with our wedding planners through to the last they were helpful, friendly and professional. They replied quickly and nothing was too much bother. Our arrangements had changed during our planning but they were extremely accommodating and even gave us a bespoke package. We honestly cannot thank them enough. The location is a dream and as such we had some fantastic photos! The food for our wedding breakfast was lovely. We honestly cannot recommend this venue highly enough. Thanks everyone.

Our perfect beach wedding

If you’re looking for a rustic wedding on a beach then look no further. We got married this April and it was such a perfect day. The ceremony room has a magical feel to it with all the candles and rustic charm. It’s the perfect place to say I do. We then had the reception up at the marquee. The marquee has recently had a little refurb and it’s perfect. The canapés, drinks and food was superb, we had so many compliments from our guests who have never been so well fed. There was plenty to go around and all a high standard.
Only thing that does need improvement is the hotel accommodation. The rooms are looking rather tired and worn. They could all definitely do with some TLC. There was a few things like a damp patch in oxwich bay room, mouldy shower seal/broken curtain in three cliffs and the bridal suite was looking tired too,
Don’t let this put you off these are minor things which I’m sure they plan to update. It didn’t bother us as we were too busy partying the night away.
The staff at oxwich bay are truly amazing, nothing is too much trouble for them.
A special thanks to Kelly and Charlotte for handling everything we asked, you were both great.
Wayne @ starlight events was a fab dj, he helped us have the perfect evening. The photo mirror and light up letters were fab. Highly recommend.
The last shout out to our lovely barman in the marquee who we kept extremely busy with drink after drink. He was even so kind to find me an umbrella so I didn’t get wet going back to the room.
Thanks again for our perfect wedding day!

Such a fab weddiing venue

I had my doubts about oxwich bay I must admit as had read some negative reviews but all I can say is they made my wedding day perfect and were so professional. They worked so hard. Nothing on the day was too much trouble and they were always checking all was ok. The food was delicious and plentiful. The accomodation fab and the ceremony room was so beautiful. All my guests said it was the best wedding. Thanks again Oxwich Bay x

Absolutely brilliant experience from the start of our journey to the last minute of the evening.

The Team at the Oxwich Bay were outstanding, flexible nothing was too much trouble. We wanted an exclusive experience which they delivered 100 percent, also everything they delivered with a professional smile - I have amazing memories I will never forget.

A perfect day at a beautiful venue

My husband and I got married at Oxwich Bay Hotel on 29th December 2022 and we had such a beautiful day. Me and my bridal party got ready in the lounge area at Oxwich Bay Hotel before moving to the bridal suite to change when it was ready, which the team were very accommodating with (even though we wanted to start super early!). The wedding team lead by Charlotte was incredibly friendly and helpful on the day, and Charlotte kept checking in to make sure everything was going perfectly which it did! Charlotte ensured I was prepared to come down for our first look, and even helped me down the stairs and prepared my train for my walk down the aisle. The wedding team did an amazing job setting up our tables for the wedding breakfast, and were more than happy to set up per my request and add our own touches to their beautiful centre pieces. The team also did a fantastic job introducing my dad to kick the speeches off and serving everyone's food and drinks throughout the night. I honestly cannot thank the staff enough for making our day run perfectly and helping us create some incredibly memories, and we especially love how we were able to have our dog share in our special day. Also, a massive thank you for being so helpful leading up to the day with my many emails! Would highly recommend Oxwich to any happy couple looking for their dream venue!

Amazing Day!

We got married at Oxwich on 21st June, and the day was amazing!
Emma and everyone else from the weddings team were amazing - nothing was too much trouble for Emma to help with.
During the planning, Emma answered my many questions, and helped find solutions for fussy eaters among other things! Even on the day Emma helped by running around to get things from the my room that were forgotten but needed at the reception. Which is going above and beyond.
During the ceremony, reception and the party all staff were helpful and polite as you would expect, not one of our guests complained about the service, or any other party of the hotel or the wedding day.
The food was amazing, all the canapes, the wedding breakfast and the bbq, was loved by us and our guests! I just wish I could have ate more, but the dress wouldn't have allowed for that!
The dj used by oxwich was also brill, the poor man was stuck with some drunk guests even after the bar was closed and he continued the music for the unplanned after party!! We and some guests went to the resturant bar, after the ceremony bar closed. We continued the wedding party until around half 3.
We have also stayed at Oxwich prior to the wedding and the service then was of the same high standard.
I cannot recommend Oxwich, Emma and the wedding team highly enough, and am very grateful for their help in making my wedding day, a day to remember!

Absolutely Perfect

We got married here on 18th April this year and I got to say it was absolutely perfect!! the staff especially Emma went above and beyond for us on our day and leading up to our day!! ??? the venue is absolutely beautiful.

Amazing Venue

Myself and my beautiful wife would like to say massive thank you to the oxwich bay hotel for setting up our wedding in such an amazing venue. The staff worked flawlessly and hard to provide the best service for our very special day in such an amazing venue. We would especially like to thank Sarann Williams who was our wedding planner at oxwich, she worked tirelessly and constantly to ensure that everything we wanted was as we wanted it a massive thank you.

1st Class Service

There are not enough thank you’s we can say to thank Ian, Emma and Geraint and all the staff for the 1st class service we received on our wedding on Saturday. Throughout the planning for the day nothing was ever too much trouble even emails sent at 5am on the morning of the wedding. The room was absolutely fantastic and the service, food and drinks were first class. All our guests thoroughly enjoyed and you accommodated everyone. You truly made our wedding day a day we will never forget! Thank you all so much x

Its a must!

Anyone thinking of booking this venue for your wedding it’s a must! We got married here last Saturday and from the point of booking we were so well looked after. Our wedding planner Emma Pickard has been amazing she was always happy to answer a million questions and concerns from myself which near the end were a few times a day ?. We literally dropped boxes of stuff off to the venue with minimal direction and they turned those boxes into our dream wedding it looked stunning. Nothing was too much hassle on the day and everything ran perfectly to time. Our guests took up every room etc at the venue and there wasn’t one complaint from anyone and everyone noted how delicious not only the wedding breakfast was but also the eve buffet and the breakfast the next day. The views from the marquee are just amazing. I cldnt fault this venue at all but I feel a special thanks must go to Emma she went above and beyond the description of a wedding planner even handing out gifts we had forgotten and helping to do dresses up to name but a few things she did. She really is an asset to this magical venue. Many thanks to u all Mrs and Mrs Lovell xx

A perfect day

We got married at the Oxwich Bay in Sept 2009. We had a lovely welcome in the morning, the staff were well organised and helpful, the food was fab and the setting was superb. The marquee is gorgeous with the open side looking out onto the sea and the whole day was perfect.

beautiful location

we got married here a month ago and it was fantastic. the staff were so friendly and helpful, the morning of the wedding I was so nervous but the wedding co-ordinator sam made me feel at ease and brought me everything I asked for. the bridal suite was stunning, clean and fresh with gorgeous views over oxwich bay.
