Stanford Farm is a wedding and events venue just outside Shrewsbury, Shropshire. From rustic charm to festival fun, the team is ready to plan your day, your way. With a romantic lakeside, colourful courtyard garden and fantatsic facilities, you can have a tranquil event from beginning to end.
Facilities and Capacity
Stanford Farm's stables have been licensed for wedding ceremonies and are set within an enchanting courtyard. The farm's Bull Barn has been upcycled into a stylish bar. This outdoor area has plenty of room for garden games alongside the garden tipi and rustic seating gazebos. Besides the outdoor area, the Cow House is a large wooden clad barn that can seat up to 180 for food and up to 200 guests in total. The team is very willing to work with you to help organise the venue to be as unique as you are. In addition to these event spaces no one has to go far at the end of the night with a variety of on-site accommodations farmhouse for 12 guests, 4 hobbit huts, a shepherds hut and Double Decker bus (Dame Shirley Bussey!) Your guests can also camp or bring vans.

Our packages with exclusive use of the venuesfrom Friday to Sunday, or Tuesday to Thursday gives you time to enjoy with family and friends. With your event days booked, the team will have plenty of time to work together and relieve any stress from your special day. We never in a million years wanted a 'traditional wedding' but Stanford Farm gave us the opportunity to have an 'us' wedding.
- 3 solid days of family, friends, party, music and chill!
Im still in disbelief of how amazing our 'festival wedding' really was.
One thing that really made this venue stand out for us, was the people.
Genuine vibes from start to finish made us feel at ease in a completely new venture - we had never planned a wedding before & could feel that we were completely out of our depths.
We visited many venues and the magnitude of it all, the hidden charges and the fact we didn't quite understand the lingo - was starting to make us feel quite vulnerable, but as soon as we set foot onto the farm every thing just seemed to fit into place.
The staff are incredible.
Everything was fairly priced, upfront, open & clear to understand - which really made such a huge difference in the planning process!
They really took the time to listen to our questions, nothing was too daft & they took the time to make sure we were happy with our choices.
Although ours was a DIY wedding, staff are also on hand during the day and worked so hard to make sure everything went to plan, honestly couldn't of asked for anything more.
The whole experience was just so chilled, organised and full of love (and jagermeister)
Stanford farm will always have a huge place in our hearts.

Fabulous wedding venue for all budgets
I can't praise Stanford farm enough. They were so helpful and supportive and made our wedding seem like a breeze. Nothing was too much trouble. The weather wasn't great but they made sure it didn't affect our day and we will remember it forever.

Unbelievable surroundings
We don't know where to begin, Cindy and the whole team at Stanford Farm truly gave us a wedding we will never forget. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel so at home and the beautiful surroundings were ours to dress how we liked (not that it's needed!). You honestly get a bespoke wedding at Stanford and I would urge anyone considering this venue to go and take a look. The photos don't do it justice. You feel how special it is as soon as you arrive. Thankyou Cindy , Gill and the whole team for giving us something we could have never hoped for, and bringing our whole family together. We won't be able to keep away , so see you again soon!! Truly Amazing
I can't explain just how amazing the wedding was at the farm! From the Cow Shed, to the camping and the cocktail caravan! The whole experience was more than we ever hoped for. Cindy and the team were there to sort everything on the day (even doing up the buttons on our wedding dresses; thanks Kathy ;)
The day was perfect and Sarah & I just wish we could do it all again!

Our dreams came true when we found this hidden gem of a venue! Cindy, the venue owner, helped us from start to finish and every question we asked was answered, even the odd ones! (Do you have an iron?) The venue itself is perfect for festival style weddings. So many photo opportunities from the stables, to the lakeside, to the double decker bus #dameshirleybusey
The venue comes as a blank canvas in which you can make your own dream wedding and design it how you wish. The prop stop is perfect too and helps massively if you’ve forgotten something! Cindy and her team were fantastic and so helpful and made our day run smoothly and perfect. 100% would recommend to anyone! And great for LGBTQ+ weddings! We got married 25.06.2022, Stanford was the first venue we viewed and we booked the same day! Cindy was so welcoming and answered any and all questions we had, the farm is charming, it feels like it is loved! There are so many added extras that come with this venue it’s like no other! We were worried about doing it DIY but Stanford gave us a detailed list of supplier, many of which we used! I was emailing Cindy all the time with copious amounts of questions and she never failed to respond. We had the farm Friday-Sunday and from the minute we got there until the time we left there was always someone looking after us and on hand all the way, from managing the day to hurrying me out the room to see the registrar😂 no stone was left unturned. The venue and staff are second to none. ALL of our guests complimented the venue and staff with two of our friends booking the venue on the Sunday after our wedding. I couldn’t recommend this venue enough, it is BEAUTIFUL, in fact beautiful isn't the word, it’s breath taking. Gemma and I would like to thank Cindy and all of her amazing team for making our day the best one of our lives. Your care and attention is unmatched, we can’t wait to come back next year hopefully with a baby Bailey.X

Perfection
Stanford farm is the perfect place to get married. Cindy and her team are easy going, helpful and genuine people. The location is stunning and a blank canvas to do as you please with. Our wedding was the best weekend of our lives and all of our guests commented on the location. Having accommodation on sight was a huge plus for us and our guests. We hold Stanford farm close to our hearts and always will. Highly recommended.

We have recently had our big day here and I couldn't recommend the venue enough! It was everything I dreamt of and more.
Stanford Farm is a completely blank conversion and you can make it to exactly how you want it, whether you do it all yourself (like i did) or you can hire people to make it how you wish.
Cindy has been amazing, especially under the circumstances and she went above and beyond to ensure we could still have our special day, even after having to postpone. On the day there were a few little hiccups and Cindy was straight on it to sort it out!

Wedding of our dreams!
We had the wedding of our dreams at Stanford. Cindy was always on hand to answer any queries and also let us visit last minute with suppliers etc. She was away for our wedding weekend but Keith was incredible. Nothing was too much trouble he was kind, complimentary and so helpful in the running of our day - always checking in with us and ensuring everything ran smoothly. The venue itself was just perfect. The plants and gardens are kept so beautiful. The Cow Shed just got prettier every time we saw it. The fairy lights are just stunning. The farmhouse is great and spacious, beds are super comfy. All staff are so friendly and hardworking. We just adored it and will recommend it to everyone for the rest of time. You guys are just incredible and you do such a wonderful job. We felt like we were the only wedding to have ever been there - the attention to detail from you all and the dedication to us as a couple for the entire weekend just made us feel so special and we honestly had the wedding of our dreams. Beautiful venue - best day ever
No words can describe how amazing our time at Stanford Farm was. From the start Cindy and her team were excellent and answered our countless emails in the run up to our big day. We had the best three days and no task was too big or too small for Keith which we are extremely grateful for! Stanford Farm is the perfect venue with a great mix of outdoor and indoor space. Getting married by the lake was magical and the photos do not do it justice. It is a beautiful location that we will always remember. If you want a bespoke wedding to make your own then Stanford Farm is the ideal place. All the staff are friendly and really help to make your day special. We can’t wait to visit again soon.

Wedding Weekend
We got married at Stanford Farm on Saturday 3rd June 2023 and it was a perfect venue for us. We got the venue on the Friday morning and kept it until the Sunday evening, with most of our guests around 60-70 people staying on site (with no issues with shower facilities etc.). There is room for around 30-40 people to stay in the farmhouse and various hobbit huts and plenty of space for campers / campervans. The staff from the venue were incredibly helpful the whole way though, starting with Cindy who was in touch with information the whole way through the process. This was handed over to Keith closer to the time who answered all our last minute questions and was very helpful all throughout the weekend, ensuring all the little things were taken care of before we had even thought of them. The venue gave us complete flexibility to provide our own caterers and we used all our own food on the Friday and Sunday which helped us keep the costs down (we even sorted our own canapes and dessert on the day as well). There is brilliant outside space at the venue (we were lucky with the weather and managed to have an outside ceremony). We would highly recommend and wouldn’t have chosen anywhere else. Happiest Day of Our Lives
We got married at Stanford Farm on 6th May 2023 and we had such a wonderful day. The relaxed, festival vibe was exactly what we wanted and Keith went above and beyond to help us throughout, from prep the day before, on the day itself and on the clean-up the day after. We were able to decorate the venue to suit us - using lots of props from their prop stop. Our guests loved the venue and said it was the most fun they’d had at a wedding. The weather wasn’t totally on our side but it really didn’t matter on the day. Cindy, Keith and all the staff at Stanford Farm were lovely and attentive. Would highly recommend this venue!!

Amazing and extremely helpful!
Wow! Where do I start- Stanford farm is amazing and the staff are incredible.
The team were amazing and nothing was too much to ask- beforehand or on the day. They were there to help answer any questions and help ensure the day runs smoothly. The venue and place was amazing and being able to personalise however we wanted was just what we wanted. We had the most amazing day! Everyone commented on how great the venue was and having everything on site was the best.
