Wadhurst Castle welcomes you to celebrate your entire wedding day with them or just your ceremony or just your reception following a church or ceremony elsewhere. When booking this venue, you will have exclusive use of the castle with its magnificent rooms together with the light and airy Carriage Barn and the beautiful gardens. You and your guests will be able to admire stunning views across the uninterrupted Sussex countryside as you celebrate here. During warmer months, you and your partner can exchange vows in one of the two licensed garden spaces. Celebratory drinks and tantalising canapes can then be enjoyed on the South Terrace. In addition to the gardens, you have the beautiful castle rooms and the Carriage Barn offering further licensed ceremony and dining choices. The castle can then accomodate 130 for evening parties.

Everything about your experience was perfect. Susan was so delightful and helpful to work with—she was timely, kind, and 100% on our side for making our day the way we wanted it. The most amazing wedding

Absolutely stunning venue
As soon as we went to view Wadhurst Castle I knew I wanted to get married there. Not only is it a stunning building in beautiful grounds with a wonderful view to the South Downs, Susan came across as calm, organised and extremely capable. She ensured us they would take care of all the organisation on the day so I didn’t have to stress about things, for example setting up for an indoor ceremony as a back up incase the weather didn’t hold up for the planned outdoor one. This exactly how it went. Susan and the team at Wadhurst were top class. They took care of everything. We were able to drop off all our drinks and decorations the day before which freed up the wedding day morning. We were lucky to have the most beautiful weather, the day went really smoothly. All the guests loved the venue, we had so many compliments and the photos are stunning. I’m so happy we used this venue, the communications was always quick and they were always accommodating. I would 100% recommend Wadhurst Castle to anyone looking to get married.

Nothing short of perfect!
I cannot begin to describe how amazing our wedding was. It was everything I have ever dreamed of and more. Wadhurst castle was the most PERFECT venue!! Our guests were stunned by the venue and scenery - I could not have asked for more and wish we could do the day over again. Wadhurst castle was the first place we viewed (of about 20 venues across the south of England) and believe me if you are looking for somewhere a bit different but has the wow factor- wadhurst castle is the place!

The perfect wedding venue
We got married on 10th June 2023 and it really was the perfect day at the perfect venue. Could not recommened Wadhurst Castle more, and we had so many compliments from friends and family on how amazing it was.
I stayed at Castle Cottage the night before the wedding with my bridesmaids, it was so special waking up in the morning with the view of the castle and walled garden where we were soon to marry. I then moved the bridal suite to get ready, and my husband used the cottage for getting ready. The bridal suite has beautiful views over the downs and I could see preparations taking place and hear guests starting to arrive. We had our ceremony in the walled garden, then moved to the south lawn for drinks and canapes, our wedding breakfast in the barn (newly fitted with air con which was hugely appreciated), and the evening party in the castle. This provided a great flow, usuing different parts of the castle and grounds throughout the day.
Susan and Cassie were so helpful with the organisation and were very responsive. They provided an excellent list of recommended suppliers to choose from. The staff on the day were also incredibly helpful and I felt so well looked after at all times.

June Wedding Planned from the States
Wadhurst was everything my husband and I hoped it would be. We live in the US and booked it sight unseen (after his parents had a visit and gave it the thumbs up), but were able to tour the castle in January. Even in the dead of winter, it blew me away. For our relatively small wedding (50 people) it could not have been more perfect. By the time June came, it was covered in florals. Some of my favorite pictures of us are in the Walled Garden surrounded by the blooming roses, and we hadn’t decorated that area at all as we got married on the South Lawn. The team at Wadhurst was on top of everything. Planning from so far away, I had to really just trust them, and they absolutely came through for us. Thank you Kelly, Susan, Cassie, and Fiona!

The most beautiful venue
We had our wedding at Wadhurst Castle on 13th August.
The team were brilliant from start to finish, we had Susan who assisted us with showing us around, booking the venue and answered every question and provided great advice.
We also spoke with Cassie who was co-ordinating our day and getting all the details together, she listened and provided some great ideas for our day.
On the day we had a lady called Dana she was amazing, nothing was a issue, she got everything ready and everyone in place for us and assisted with last minute changes to ensure everything went smoothly.
The venue itself was gorgeous, the setting and the flowers / gardens really adds to our photos and was an amazing venue, our guests were amazed with the views and loved it.

Magic castle
Wadhurst Castle just has the "wow" factor and made for a maigcal wedding day for my partner Gil and I. It took a while to find our perfect venue as we wanted somewhere that catered for a small wedding and that was comeptitive in terms of price and Wadhurst really delivered.
What sets it apart from other similar venues is that it is a very flexible space, with stunning surroundings that are exclusively yours for the day. The interior is a really grand space, a 19th century style mansion and we had our ceremony in the drawing room, which was perect as it large and airy and looks out onto the stunning Sussex countryside.
Our reception was in the extensive gardens surrounding the castle, the grandeur leaving us feeling liked we had stepped onto the set of Downtown Abbey at times. Dinner was in the Orangery, which again offered a wonderful backdrop. Looking out at the sun dappled fields as the conversation flowed and night fell was something really special.
Weddings are really nerve-wracking occasions but Danya, who looked after us so ably on the day, and Susan, who was always on hand in the lead-up, were absolutely amazing. So much so that Danya stayed on after hours when our cab did not arrive at the end of the evening. It is over and above, which is what you can expect from Wadhurst Castle.

The happiest day
Wadhurst Castle is the venue of fairy tale dreams!
From the moment we set foot on the grounds we knew it was the one for us. We didn't even bother to look at other venues because it felt like home!
The team at Wadhurst treat you like friends and are there every step of the way to ensure you have the best day of your lives. We can't thank Susan, Cassie and Kelly enough for everything they did for us in the two years planning and day of our wedding.
We will live on this high for the rest of our lives!

Incredible venue and fabulous team!
We could not have chosen a better venue for our wedding. From the minute we set foot inside the beautiful grounds we were sold on Wadhurst Castle, it truly has it all – stunning landscape views, total privacy, gorgeous historic interior, lots of beautiful indoor and outdoor locations for your ceremony/meal/reception. Meeting Susan and her team only further confirmed to us that we’d be in the best possible hands, and indeed we could not have asked for more from the event coordination team in the run up to our day. We had to reschedule our celebrations once due to Covid and whilst it seems so many venues saw this as a money-making opportunity, Wadhurst Castle went out of their way to make the process as straight forward and reassuring as possible. I truly believe that there is nowhere better to host a wedding – SO happy we found Wadhurst Castle!

Absolutely Perfect!
Words cannot describe how incredible the staff, the venue team and Amuse catering were on our wedding day! They all helped out SO much and made the day flow so well and put me at complete ease. The canapés and lunch was insane and the service that the catering team provided was unreal! I can’t thank you all enough for making my day feel so so so special. People are still talking about the wedding, the venue, the food and the team! From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU! I’ll definitely be recommending Wadhurst to everyone that I speak to!

A great location and a great team
Wadhurst Castle is a stunning and flexible venue, both inside and out. It was the perfect place for our Wedding reception.
The most outstanding thing is Susan, Carys and the team. They ensured our special day ran seemlessly despite the fact that we had our 2 week old baby with us. You will most certainly be in safe hands.

Stunning venue & Superb team
We had our Civil ceremony in late September at Wadhurst. I instantly fell in love with the venue when I came across it online and when Susan showed us around in person it was even more exquisite. The castle, grounds and barn have been maintained to an excellent standard and everything was still in full bloom towards late September. We genuinely had the most magical day, so many of our guests commented to say it was like a fairy tale and one of the best wedding venues they had been to, it was one of the best decisions we made in the entire wedding process. What was even more apparent was just how attentive and helpful the staff were throughout the planning process. We had a lot of anxiety as we didn't have much time to plan and book vendors, but Susan instantly put us at ease and made so many great suggestions to ensure the day ran smoothly. We couldn't recommend Wadhurst enough, if you are lucky enough to book it for your wedding we guarantee you you will not be disappointed!!

Transatlantic Wedding!
We can't begin to thank the incredible staff at Wadhurst Castle for the most beautiful wedding for our daughter and son in-law's wedding. We are from the United States and the groom is from the United Kingdom. Susan made communicating from thousands of miles away so easy. Despite the time difference, she was always so prompt and professional with our many questions. Due to covid, the wedding was postponed twice. Susan and her team assisted us in moving everything to the new dates with ease. She recommended the most fabulous vendors and they were all as wonderful as she said they would be.
We brought some of the wedding items, decorations etc. to the castle the day before the wedding. On the wedding day, I was delighted to see all of the items had been placed where they should be and I did not have to do a thing! We had a Wadhurst Castle daytime and evening wedding coordinator at our disposal throughout the day. Both of these ladies were marvelous in keeping everything on schedule and assisting with anything we needed. Everyone raved about the gorgeous venue, the food, bar service, flowers, and entertainment. Wadhurst Castle is even more beautiful in person. Thank you to all for making the day absolutely magical for the bride and groom and all who attended!
