The Castle Westenhanger is a spectacular fairytale location for your wedding.

A scheduled ancient monument with a Grade I listed Manor House, it enjoys a rich history and has been connected to many notable figures, including Henry VIII & Queen Elizabeth I.

The venue has excellent transport links and local accommodation options. It is located in the quaint village of Westenhanger between Ashford and Folkestone near the South Kent Coast, with Westenhanger train station a short walk away.

Suitable for Weddings of up to 300 Guests

Suitable for both intimate and large weddings, with capacity for up to 300 ceremony guests.

For 2023 weddings, packages start from £7,650 based on 80-day guests and up to 200 evening guests. Packages include exclusive venue hire, a dedicated wedding coordinator, reception drinks, your wedding meal, wine for the guests, an evening buffet, a professional DJ, access to our exclusive online wedding planning tool, and much more.

Choice of Wedding Ceremony Areas

You will have a choice of three stunning licensed ceremony areas. These include the thatched gazebo on the castle lawn, the banqueting hall in the castle, or the bright and spacious marquee.

Toast your nuptials in the private bar before feasting on an unforgettable wedding breakfast in the marquee, with its views of the castle ruins and manor house. Our in-house chefs pride themselves on providing a first-class dining experience, using only the freshest ingredients for your wedding breakfast. They will collaborate with you to create a menu that will delight your guests, catering to all styles and culinary preferences. Enjoy a three-course feast, hog roast, or BBQ across a range of cuisines.

Couldn’t ask for more!

The team at Westenhanger have been nothing but supportive and flexible with regards to our wedding. We were originally due to be married in June 2020 but had to postpone, now planned for June 2021 and cannot wait to have our wedding in their beautiful grounds. Highly recommend.

Stunning venue and great experience from start to finish!

From our first meeting, the staff were so welcoming, knowledgeable and responsive to any queries we had throughout the planning process. We had a lot of guests with dietary requirements, so the choice of menus was important to us when choosing a venue. There was a great selection of meals to choice from and the chefs were accommodating where we needed to tweak things!

The venue itself is of course stunning and a real stand out feature is the space for both the bridal party and groomsmen to get ready for the big day! All the staff on the day made sure everything went smoothly and we were able to relax and enjoy the day!

Simply the best

We cannot recommend The Castle at Westenhanger enough. Quite simply the best. A totally professional team who made our day so special. Everyone and everything was perfect and far exceeded our expectations. On top of this, the team really did make us feel more like friends than customers and really did seem as excited as we were about the day. From day one of planning to clearing up our things the day after, we were met with smiles and hugs and made to feel genuinely special. If you want good old fashioned professional service wrapped in the friendliest of company at a venue that looks stunning, then you have found the perfect venue in Westenhanger.

Just amazing!

I honestly cannot recommend this venue enough. Tania and Mike are absolutely amazing people, after a turbulent year in 2020 we found this beautiful venue mid 2020 to have our long awaited wedding. As soon as we entered the Castle and were shown around by Tania we fell in love with it and the beautiful surroundings. The staff have been so so helpful, informative and understanding for couples, nothing is too much to ask. We never thought we would find a venue where we have so much support and understanding from the staff. I would recommend this venue to absolutely anyone! ?

Our special day

We have just had our wedding at Westenhanger castle 07.12.2019. Not only is the place lovely, the staff are fantastic and we mean that from the bottom of our hearts, everyone was so polite friendly and wanting to make our day special.

The food was fantastic, in house DJ was great. It all run smoothly you didn’t really see or know that the staff were around. So organised.

A Happy bride

The venue alone is divine but the team running the place really make this a fantastic location. From the moment we laid eyes on Westenhanger Castle to the minute we departed our wedding last night, Sarah has taken excellent care of us and all our needs. The grounds provide an excellent backdrop with plenty of space and beautiful buildings to look at. Inside the castle the space retains its elegant charm whilst managing to still have a modern feel. The marquee has plenty of space and is an excellent venue for all event needs. All in all I cannot sing the praises enough of this place!

A Happy Mother of the bride

We held our daughter's Wedding reception at Westenhanger in August.
The setting is just beautiful. The carvery was delicious (still talking about it now!) Sarah is just so helpful and all the staff are lovely.

A Massive Thank You

Just wanted to drop you a quick thank you to let you know what a truly amazing time we had at our wedding last week and it was all down to you, Steve and Sarah.

Not only did you transform the venue into our perfect wedding, you made the day run perfectly too. Almost all of our guest have messaged us to tell us that it was the best wedding they have ever been to because of the flawless organisation and atmosphere they created.

When I told people we were getting married in the UK, everyone told me that I'd regret it as you're so busy worrying about the day you don't enjoy it. Well for me, that was completely false as I had you guys. You coordinated the day perfectly and allowed me to relax (maybe a little too much!) and really make it memorable. It was honestly the best day of our entire lives and I knew everyone was okay.

Everyone has commented in how amazing Steve was by taking a load of guests to the services to get cash when the card machine broke. For me Sarah was also a godsend by making up my cake for me and arranging all the last minute bits for me. Please please please pass on our thanks to them for us!!!

I cannot put into words how to thank you enough and wish we could get married all over again.

Thanks again so much and we hope to see you soon.

Historic, beautiful and unforgetable wedding venue

We held our marriage ceremony and reception at Westenhanger Castle on 10/05/2008, and it truly is a beautiful setting. After booking we became concerned that as our day grew closer that the events organiser left and was replaced, only for the new organiser to be replaced a short while afterwards, however her replacements were the two most helpful and dedicated organisers that we could have hoped for. Their names are Karen and Jackie, and they went out of their way to make our day special, making sure they knew what are wishes were, and making us feel that nothing was too much. They helped the day to run like clockwork.
The use of the bridal suite is an extra special touch, allowing me the bride the chance to relax and get ready at a steady pace. Even bacon sandwiches and glasses of champagne were provided.
The grounds are absolutely stunning, and this is captured beautifully in our photographs.
Of the guests asked, opinion was that the food was of a high standard.
I cannot praise this venue enough. We knew the moment we saw it, that it was the one.
If within your budget, you should at least view it to appreciate it.
A day that will never be forgotten.

Our fairy-tale wedding come true

Our wedding at Westenhanger Castle truly was the best day of our lives. The staff were all so helpful and friendly and they kept everything running smoothly and calmly - even when I wasn't!! They couldn't help enough even down to providing myself (the bride) and bridesmaids with bacon butties and champagne in the morning. The venue is spectacular and we felt like King and Queen of the castle for the day, even down to the red carpet and thrones - much classier than Posh and Becks. Everyone, without exception, said how wonderful the venue, food and staff were and I couldn't agree more. If I could get married there every year I would - Husband thinks I am mad (and is possibly now having second thoughts!)But my wedding day was the best day of my life and it's all thanks to those at Westenhanger castle whose passion it is to make your dreams come true - and they certainly did with us.
Get married here, I cant sing their praises enough.
